Angela is a counsellor, artist and educator who has studied, lived and volunteered in several different countries including Indonesia, Spain and Costa Rica. She has degrees from Dalhousie, Acadia and NSCAD. Angela has studied a variety of therapeutic approaches and parenting strategies. She has counselled individuals and groups and coached families for over 10 years.
Angela has an eclectic, client-centred approach: she draws upon counselling techniques based on each person’s needs and personality. She often draws upon CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and mindfulness (breathing, present awareness and relaxation techniques), as well as therapeutic art and play, narrative therapy, and other healing modalities.
